What Leaders Can Do to Improve Dental Readiness

USACHPPM Oral Fitness
• Assign a Unit Dental Liaison

• Have Dental Liaison and 1SG coordinate with the dental clinic to ensure Soldiers follow up with treatment

• Enforce regulations for dental care

• Encourage your Soldiers to be a "First Class Soldier" (Dental Class 1)

• Review oral hygiene during field hygiene and sanitation training

• Encourage healthy practices
      1. Quit tobacco
      2. Limit sugar-sweetened beverages and snacks
      3. Oral PMCS - daily dental hygiene, exams & cleaning
